Stop Treating Your Finances Like Toothpaste
This ones going to be short and sweet..
You ever notice, when you get to the end of a tube of toothpaste,
how much you squeeze out of every last bit,
to ensure you have enough for today.
You ever think and realize just how little toothpaste you can get by with on those times where you’re at the end of the tube?
Ever think of how, when you open up that brand new toothpaste,
how you squeeze beautiful dollops going from end to end of that toothbrush..
When all you truly needed,
was that little portion you squeezed out on the days you were at the end of the last tube..
And you continue to do so,
until you return back,
to the bottom of the tube once again,
just to learn again,
how little you actually need to get by with..
Think finances,
Think of the way you spend money,
Think of your budgeting..
There were times where you made a very little stretch a long way,
And when you get that big sum, dropped on you,
you start spending on things you don’t need,
that aren’t necessary to get you through to the next day(guilty🤚🏽)
And maybe you put yourself back into position, where you have to make a little stretch,
where you’re squeezing out every last hit,
getting crafty,
All to avoid the time where a new tube is needed..
Maybe the takeaway is this,
Use just enough, that’s actually necessary,
even when there’s plenty,
and the tube is full,
and by the time you need to replace it,
you’ll have plenty more saved up.
