What Sales Is NOT đŸš©

We all know what working in sales is,

I’ve gone as far as saying, we all work in sales whether you’re behind a desk, in front of the door, on the phones, whether it’s in your title, job description, or your education background says it or not.

If you work for a company, you’re optimizing for money to come through the door đŸšȘ

So I thought it’d be important to write about what sales is not.

Sales is NOT

- Collecting money

- Manipulation

- Quick witted combinations of words

- Asking for payments

- Fitting round pegs through square holes

- Hypnotizing people into reaching for their wallets 😂

Sales IS giving a Solution in exchange for Money

That’s it.

To stimulate more people willing to part ways with their money in exchange for your solution, I figure it’s fitting I drop some reframes that I’ve learned to help me exchange 7+ figures in dollars for solutions.

Morality 😌

Being good at business or sales, is having the ability to con people but the morality not to.

It’s oxygen 😼‍💹

Sales IS the oxygen to any business, without it nobody gets paid, we can’t hire, we can’t invest, the needle doesn’t have the opportunity to move.

Beliefs

You’ve got to change your beliefs about money, it’s a means to build, means to ease pain, propel towards pleasure, or save time. What you sell does one or all of these.

Price and Worth

Price and Worth are to be separated, if people don’t understand the worth, they’ll call it your “price”

“Watch anything good lately?”

A “Conversion Conversation” isn’t just a salesy term, it happens naturally even when you’re convincing your friend to watch a Netflix show.

Obligation

If the solution you offer is any good, you should feel an obligation to sell it. It’ll save them years, dollars and frustration.

You’re always selling, just make sure you enjoy what it is you’re selling. Even if it’s just yourself.
