HOW TO JUGGLE 🤹🏽
Why am I writing about juggling?
Learning how to juggle is the most profound thing you’ll have heard today.
ACTUALLY juggling, not figuratively juggling.
Let’s look at the professional juggler, and someone who’s never juggled
Their driving force is the same, “DON’T DROP THE BALL”
Look at the amateur, they pick up 3 balls
First one goes up, everything’s good.
Second one goes up, not as good, so they go and lunge for the ball,
Once they lunge for the ball, the rest is over with..
Seth Godin (Author not a juggler) says you can learn to juggle in 30 minutes, if you just DO THIS.
Spend 20 minutes, throwing a ball up then LETTING IT DROP.
Then go to 2 balls,
THROW-THROW
DROP-DROP
Do that for 30 minutes, and you’ll be better at NOT DROPPING the ball.
This is known as DIVORCING FROM THE OUTCOME.
Become so good at THROWING that you get better at not dropping the ball.
Divorcing from the outcome, in our life shows up places like with money.
How many times do we tell ourselves we want to be better with money (juggling)
And our only thought and driving force is “Don’t run out of money”
So we do things like, find the best cheap options.
Reach for the clearance items.
Find the discounts.
But that person can ask themself, “How much thought have I put into just being better at making MORE money?”
(Getting better at throwing)
So there it is, I’ve just taught you how to juggle.
And hopefully tied together a message about how we can look at learning or improving a skill, by divorcing from the outcome, stop being afraid and instead learn to be a better practitioner not just someone who dances a deathly outcome.
