Comparison
“Comparison is the thief of joy”
Maybe it’s a lie..
Comparison can spark plenty of fuel to be used..
You can hop in a friends new car, and think “man, I don’t want to sit in their car, I want a brand new one for myself!”
You can sit and compare with a friends wins, and it’s okay to be angry with yourself, knowing you haven’t executed on your potential yourself!
Now if that comparison turns sour, and into “Ahh this person just wants to show off..”
”This person thinks their the shit”
”Ahh he just got lucky!”
Then, you’ve crossed the line into letting comparison
turn you thoughts into piece of shit thoughts..
Yes, comparison will rob you of your joy at your own expense, and guess what,
you deserve to have it robbed..
There is enough in this world to go around,
We can all win,
and wishing the next guy or girl,
bad because you think they’re stealing from your pot,
will be the reason you end up a bitter, jealous, loser
who’s comparisons will compound til’ the day you die..
and that’s no joyful place to be..

Matter of fact, I got this from a conversation with Bedros Keulian, that when he started comparing, it changed everything
He told me a story of the house he was looking to live in one day,
in comparison to his current living situation..
He mentioned how one time his son was swimming in the community pool, and developed a sort of rash on his arm that had to be treated
And he thought to himself, I bet if I had my own pool this would never happen
and that started the, COMPARISONS
and it drove him..
He told me the most simple one, that truly made the impact,
was this
he said
“ One day, I heard my neighbor sneeze…”
And that was it..
He said,
one day, I want to never every again, hear my neighbor sneeze
