Nervousness Comes From Being Unprepared

You know that feeling

that feeling of competition,

that feeling of an interview,

that feeling of the big test,

that feeling of public speaking,

that feeling of privately speaking..

The nervous feeling,

where your face gets hot,

your breathing gets shallow,

and your heart starts beating faster and faster..

That’s your Nervous system!

Not that nervousness doesn’t exist In all of us to some extent,

But do you know what separates the Tiger Woods’, the Michael Jordan’s, and people like Kobe?

Preparation

Yes it’s the practice they put in,

the reps,

But more importantly, it’s the CERTAINTY they create, in preparation.

Knowing you prepared more than anyone else,

Knowing you prepared effectively,

Knowing you prepared all you could,

Knowing you prepared all that’s fucking possible..

Allows you to lean on preparedness.

To leave our variables.

The variables is what gets our nerves going..

Next time you feel that feeling, ask yourself :

How much did I prepare for this?

if you did the necessary work, there should be no more space left for nervousness.

For my students out there,

There should literally be no tests or exams out there that you should be nervous before,

(& this sounds simple as hell but quite shocking how many DON’T get this through their head)

if you busted your ass and studied..
