I wish there was a quick and easy way

I wish it was handed to us on a silver platter

I wish we were lucky

I wish there was a way we could have it instantly

I wish we could buy success

I wish there was a magic pill

I wish that we could sprint to spare the marathon

I wish we were born good enough,

I wish we could work out hard as fuck one day and be “fit” for the next week

I wish we could turn up the metaphorical oven to 900° degrees, and bake the cake in 5 minutes

I wish it was a downhill bike ride

I wish it was a walk in the park

I wish the excuses weren’t valid

I wish the process wasn’t a fucking marathon

But..

Too bad..

And the lessons you take along the way, create your story

We get it the hard way,

so we can look motherfuckers in the eye,

and deep inside, truly mean it,

when we tell them,

this was earned..

You can tell them from experience, going from 0-100,

then back to 0,
