Don’t Mistake Possibility For Probability

Your dreams are possible,

They truly are,

you can make those things happen,

but you have to swallow that gigantic pill of the work that is required to get there.

Now once you’ve made the decision to take the medicine, you’ve made the path clear for takeoff, to get to work.

But you must understand, there is a probability to it.

prob·a·bil·i·ty/ˌpräbəˈbilədē/Learn to pronouncenoun

the extent to which something is probable; the likelihood of something happening or being the case.

MATHEMATICS
the extent to which an event is likely to occur,

That’s the time where outside factors do contribute to the possibility of your goals,

If Possibility is 2-Dimensional,

think of Probability as 3-Dimensional.

Yes, everything in this world is possible,

BUT, there’s probably an extraordinary price you need to pay.

Now blend in everything else, and find out your probability.

Look, if my goal is to make it to the NBA,

that goal, practically speaking, is 100% POSSIBLE.

and nobody should talk me out of my goals and I should chase it with 110% of all I got, and I should be aware of the work required,

But being 5’7”, 26 years old, who does cardio mild cardio maybe once a week,

affects my PROBABILITY negatively for that goal to come true, so what do I do? I accept I’ll never make the NBA.

Get it?

From tactical standpoint, our life is solving problems,

and your job is to put out little fires here and there.

Now in solving problems, there’s a possibility and probability to your problem being solved the way you want it to be.

Theres other people, there’s circumstance, there’s other factors affecting your method of solving problems.

Here’s a little thing that happened today,

We were eating dinner and my little nephew is 12 years old(for some context), and he was sitting next to our other nephew who is 3 years old.

Dinner was going on and our nephew was kicking his legs at the table and consequently kicking our older nephews leg.

At first the older nephew asked him politely to stop kicking him,

Then a couple more minutes and it happens again,

now my older nephew YELLED

”CAN YOU STOP KICKING MY LEGS PLEASE!”

Then I was thinking DUDE,

Your problem is,

You want your legs to stop being kicked,

Whats more likely to happen?

You getting a infant to stop kicking his legs,

Or you just moving your legs to the side,

or just changing seats.

Outside your own wants, there’s a real functioning world outside of yourself, that has innate actions and preferences.

Solve the problem YOURSELF.

and don’t expect the world around you, to make your possible want, produce your probable outcome
