STATUS OFFICIALLY Runs Society

This topic came to mind after test driving a 2024 Tesla Model 3 at the Glendale Tesla location..

As the Tesla rep was explaining the features, perks, and observations of the Model 3,

I had a realization in about 3 seconds that led me to the decision to not purchase the Tesla..

The Auto-Plot features on the 2024 Tesla Model 3, are virtually the same as my 2023 Toyota Corolla.

See you’re required to have a hand on the steering when when operating in Auto-Pilot.

Same as in my Corolla.. Lane change aversion, proximity control to the car in front.. All in my Corolla.

That led me to another realization, which is that if you’re needs are those features, you can easily go into a Toyota, and purchase the Corolla for the same features.

But Tesla has a 3 month wait list on their Model 3, why is that?

Because the Tesla carries STATUS.

With our economy “down”, you’d think that people would be hunkering down, saving money, and prepping for winter.

But ANOTHER headline has proven this wrong.

LVHM Founder, Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault has surpassed Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates as richest man on the PLANET.

What is LVHM? Just the largest luxury holdings and conglomerate company Louis Vuitton, Moët and Hennessey.

Not just random luxury brands, but the biggest luxury brands including Tiffany & Co., Christian Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Loewe, Loro Piana, Kenzo, Celine, Sephora, Princess Yachts, TAG Heuer, and Bulgari.

All of these brands you can find having RECORD revenue years in 2022 and 2023.

My point is it’s likely not the 1% buying more and more luxury things, they’re likely buying the same amount of luxury things..

It’s US, the every day, middle class, average Joe and Jane buying more and more luxury goods.

Think of the utility of Amazon, our every day usage.

Tesla, its leading engineering and design..

Google, do I need to explain?

LVHM and Bernard have surpassed EACH OF THOSE..

This is NOT a dystopian take, or some fatalistic hot take, it’s simply a sign of things changing, spending habits changing, values shifting..

It’s not on me to say this is good or bad either.

My brain goes to, how can we leverage this to our benefit?

How can we utilize this shift in human behavior to our favor?

My best guess is that you begin to implant “STATUS” into your products, your services and your offers.
