The Shark In Our Lives

Fresh fish is a beloved part of Japanese culture and cuisine.

Although, the water close to Japan has not held much fish for decades.

So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever.

The return trip took more and more time, and the fish were not able to keep fresh.

To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their boats.

However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen fish.

They did not like the taste of frozen fish at all,

So, fishing companies next solution was to install fish tanks.

They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin.

After a little thrashing around, they were tired, dull,

and again lost their fresh-fish taste.

The fishing industry faced an impending crisis.

But today, they figured out how to get fresh-tasting fish to Japan.

How did they manage?

To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks but with a small shark.

The fishes are challenged and hence are constantly on the move. Challenges kept them alive and fresh.

The fish are now “in trouble", they are challenged, they have to swim and move constantly to remain alive, some of them die, but for sure, the fish that arrive are very, very alive.

The challenge they face, keeps them alive and fresh!

Have you realized that some of us are also living in a pond but most of the time tired and dull?

Your challenges are the situations that will make you better, smart, and make you move constantly.

Sometimes, that shark shows up in someone else. A friend you respect, a mentor, someone you can look up to.

For myself and many other men in fitness and personal development, that shark is Bryon.

Having someone in your corner that will tell you like it is, give you resources to get you moving, but all the more day after day live the things they preach, there’s no price you can put on a friend like that. If you wanna find out, hit him at the bottom of this blog.

Sometimes you’re your own shark in the tank;

If you are "swimming" without a shark, you are in your comfort zone, and in that place, nothing grows.

The best cases are when you choose your shark, manufacture your own shark, and not the environment, circumstance or the balances of life that puts the shark in your tank.

Basically, in our lives, sharks are new challenges to keep us active.

If you are steadily conquering challenges, you are happy. Your challenges keep you energized...

Don't create success and revel in it in a state of inertia. You have the resources, skills, and abilities to make a difference. Put a shark in your tank and see how far you can really go.

Yes, Life must be interesting with loads of thrills and kicks...
