Why TALENT Doesn’t matter
Nike’s flagship saying is “Just Do It”
Just Do It, implies : “Ah What the hell, Let me not be responsible for what happens next”
Not to mention, Barry Gilmore’s final words before being given the death sentence just so happens to be “Just Do It”.. (Save that for the roundtable conversation)
The act of doing should be one of simply putting your best foot forward, and committing to do that.
Just Do It, should be changed to “Merely” Do It.
What’s the minimum viable ingredients to call this what I intend to, and put that out.
It may not be THE best, but its YOUR best.
The best writers don’t think to write, they sit down and begin writing, to think.
If and when you have the moments of “Writers Block”,
Just remember this blog and repeat,
“ If you’re a bad writer, SHOW ME your bad writing. “
Writers Block, doesn’t exist, its simply a fear of bad writing.
The commitment to writing, the commitment to putting out your work, is the magic sauce.
The awareness of improving over time is what will keep you committed.
Leverage (which is a term in my past blog - How To Define Leverage) is the differentiator with the talent, one person leverages their memorization skills to be a waitress, one leverages their memory to be a world renowned doctor.
