I can’t “quiet” my mind, and if I do for long enough I just fall asleep lol.
But what if you can set your intentions to just sit down, open space and just process.

Process the thoughts that repeatedly popped up
Process the ways you loved yourself
Process the decisions that could’ve went different
Process the beliefs you carried
Process the times your super powers shined
Process how certain events made you feel..
I’ve been recently introduced to EMDR type therapy
EMDR standing for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
Youve probably heard of the process before, but it’s the process “Tick-Tick-Tick-Tick-Tick” over an extended period of time, whether it’s by a metronome in a quiet room, the oceans waves crashing, or a long walk..
The repeated noises become triggers for both sides of the brain.
The right side being the creative side,
and the left side of the brain being the analytical side.
And for the first time in a while, your brain begins to process things working together using both sides.
That is when you come up with new solutions,
New pathways to the end goal,
You repurpose trauma,
You overcome obstacles from this new angle.
It’s truly magical.
And so use this weekend, or just take time throughout the week,
Take some time,
Wether it’s a long walk, listening to white noise, sitting criss-cross apple sauce and tapping your knees, or seeing a therapist or EMDR Specialist.
