3 Reasons Why You WON’T Achieve Your New Years Resolutions
The reason you WON’T achieve your New Years Resolution comes down to these points..
Reason #1
If you’re anything like me, you ever wonder why it seems like body builders and crazy athletes can have these MASSIVE cheat meals and continue to move forward towards their goals?
If you’re like me in the past, you go down these slippery slopes AFTER the cheat, and crave sugar and fat again.
The reason The Rock, The Hodgetwins and these already shredded cats, can deviate so far and hop back on is because they carry this very belief and trust.
Belief in their process, do you realize to CHEAT on a plan, you have to be ON A PLAN in the first place😂(something I struggled to understand)
They understand, if this is built into the plan I’ll just have to get back on track, and not starve myself for the next 2 days to catch up, your body doesn’t work like that.
Trust in themselves through their discipline being able to execute the plan, leading to what’s called credibility.
Credibility is earned when you cast votes in favor of who you want to become, are you eating what an athlete would eat? Or are you eating like a child?
Are you doing what a multi-millionaire would do with their mornings? Or are you doing what you’re used to?
Bit of advice, you’re probably better off staying away from cheat meals if you’re feeling this momentum of making the right choices. You don’t “need” a cheat meal, you crave them. Just keep making good decisions, and casting those votes. Stacking those wins.
Reason #2
You’re TOO excited,
This excitement is creating a far distant enhance feeling and signal to your brain, that day-to-day is just unachievable.
You tell yourself, that to do these things I have to be in the brain space that is,
-Excited
-Motivated
-Determined
And as you know, come Jan 12th, or maybe even today,
You just don’t feel excited everyday.
This is where discipline comes in, and discipline is defined by what you do on the days you DON’T feel like achieving your goals.
Reason #3
You think if you change your IDENTITY, it will change your BELIEF, which will shift your BEHAVIOR..
Its wrong and it’s causing you to take 5 steps back instead of 1 step forward.
Neuropsychology says we need to flip it..
You must do the BEHAVIOR, which through consistency, increases your BELIEF in yourself and your capabilities, and then confirms the IDENTITY of someone with those qualities and characteristics.
You can’t just call yourself a real estate millionaire, tell people, and accept the identity,
and expect you and your brain to align and believe it,
and then think that that false belief will carry you through to obtaining the licenses and get your first deal, it just won’t happen.
This misalignment is called, INCONGRUENCE.
Your surrounding is going beyond your identity, your beliefs, therefore you WILL eventually convince yourself, you don’t belong, you’re not worthy, you’re undeserving, this doesn’t resonate with who I am, and you will self sabotage.
Sounding familiar?
All of these self limiting beliefs happen on the subconscious level.
Consciously, you want the goal right? You’re excited about the feeling of achieving it, having the title, or owning the identity.
This happens when you don’t feel you’re worthy of the fitness level, the income level, the title you want.
Maybe it was you as a child always overhearing,
“Money’s for the rich only, other people than us.”
”This is Julian, and he’s the chubby one, he’s shy, he’s quiet..”
You must break through the glass ceiling and work through your beliefs that hold you back, in order to take on this new identity.
Think of results,
Nobodys thought about doing push-ups and has gotten fit.
The industry you want to join, doesn’t care about your intentions or your visions, they care about what you can show up with.
Money is parallel to the problems you solve and the value you provide, if you’re unhappy with how much money you have, solve more complex bigger problems, and increase your skill set to provide more value. And your money will increase.
As a new ongoing feature, I’ll always include 3 book recommendations on this topic, that will give you even more clarity, provide the tools to act on this, and accelerate your growth through the process.
