Why You Need To Stop Being Over Considerate

1 Rule of life is that you will only obtain, achieve or extract out of life that which you believe you are worth

- Ed Mylett

How many times can you look back in life, and think of instances where you felt under-considered ?

Where you felt everyone claimed their fair share, but you were left with little..

Where roles were decided, but you got left with the one nobody wanted..

Where the floor was open, but because nobody gave you the floor, you didn’t speak up, and somebody else’s idea was chosen..

Doesn’t feel good right? Now compound that over years of that happening.

Those of you who have siblings who always choose what’s for dinner..
Or maybe you have loud exuberant coworkers who get the questionable raise..

And you’re there repeating to yourself under your breath..

Why is it always their choice..

How’d they pick hers over mine..

Have you ever heard the phrase “Closed mouths don’t get fed”

Probably.

Here’s what that means..

When you only take what you believe you’re worth,

when you let others take and take, before you do,

when you accept only what’s left..

You tell yourself, you’re unworthy

you’re only worth what everyone leaves behind..

you’re choice, comes behind others best choice,

that you’re only worth shit nobody else wants..

You tell yourself time and time again, I’m only worth this tiny little share.

Now how are you supposed to grow, and achieve, and strive with a belief like that carried around like a purse.

Of course there are people who take more than their fair share, there will always be those people.

Those people ultimately fail because they take too much from too many people, before they realize this person has nothing to give.

But assess your value, how you show up, your intentions, your morals,

And take what’s yours, take from the table what you’re truly worth.

And watch your life change.

If you see someone feeling unconsidered,

Perhaps help them realize they’re worth and give their fair share to them.
They may just be where you started.
