Ambition, Drive, & Grit.. Whats The Difference?
In order, these qualities go from worthless to extremely valuable
Ambition;
Virtually worthless, worth pennies.
Ambition comes through everybody.
We all want the great things this life has to offer
We all have dreams and goals and will chase that feeling of accomplishment forever
We all want something and are willing to chase it,
We all can look up, dream, and create the hunger for that thing.
Therefore, worthless.
Drive;
Drive is worth a ton!
Drive, is required and is the engine to your goals.
But, Drive requires a vehicle.
You can have all the drive in the world, but with no vehicle to drive, that drive is just pent up potential energy.
And a lot of us are here in this very spot,
Have the drive but can’t decide on a vehicle to take, and if we just chose a vehicle, we’d have what it takes to get that vehicle pretty fucking far
But we simply can’t decide
GRIT
is the most valuable trait of all
Grit is cultivated in the process of monotonous behavior towards a greater result and outcome
It’s what gets you through monotonous behavior
Its what all the greats have
It’s that burning flame of aggression in the patience of daily action
Its the intention behind taking daily habits that create the result you want
The breaking point of cultivating Grit,
it’s where we all get bored
It’s where we don’t see the results that we want one day, that drive us to believe it’s not possible
it’s where we give up
it’s where we lose the ambition and drive, to do what’s remarkable
Its where all the cheering goes away
It’s where all the supporters get silent
It’s when you show up, and perform, when nobody’s watching
Even the doubters have left, and came up with their conclusion already,
it’s when you can lie to everybody, that you’re doing it day in and day out, and they’d have no fucking idea wether you did or did not,
but you’d know..
.. you’d know
Everybody you look up to,
They simply,
kept
going
