If You’re A “Jack Of All Trades” , Read This

From my observation,

If you are or claim to be a “jack of all trades”, that tells me you’re mediocre at all of them.

Now more than ever, business and trade is based on trust.

Trust that you, put your all into this product, answered all the questions I would’ve had in advance, and get the value in return for my money.

As a consumer, we want the best coffee, and the best soap, and also the best bike we can find, and that’s all just the same person!

But, we want to know you are all about this thing.

Now, on a personal level, I believe you can miss out on so much fulfillment by just getting into something.

There is no nobility in being a jack of all trades

I believe having multiple interests, if kept there, is fine.

I’ve seen high level CEO’s go from getting trained in MMA, to learning how to surf, to trying and completing a marathon.

So what’s the difference between the CEO and the Jack Of All Trades?

I believe it’s

• Full immersion, from a learning position

• Measured against a person who’s life is this thing

• And at the end they measure against themselves in the beginning

Measuring is the big thing, receiving feedback against your progression to really find out where you’ve gone, and if you can measure against a professional or someone doing the thing you want to do, then you can find your fulfillment.

I also see where people would say, “well look at Elon Musk, he’s doing cars and rockets and neuroscience”

Simple observation would show, in those cases, the people who expand into different ventures and solutions, walk the initial idea across the finish line, then proceed to the next
