Want to Change?
Who are you, is very closely preludes What you do?
Maybe you’re struggling with confidence?
I believe it’s a simple layout, (simple doesn’t mean easy, it means it’s simple)
Who you are now,
What you want to be doing, or Who you want to become
Bridging the gap with skills(I’ll cover in another blog one day), to put to use, in service of those you plan to be serving.
But, to me it’s the “becoming that person”, that intrigues me the most.
I believe besides skills, the mentality to stepping into who you want to become lies in your habits,
And your actions, are votes, in favor of you winning the election of who you are
So sway the votes in the direction of who you want to become
Don’t read every now and then and expect yourself to enjoy reading, but set an intention to read religiously, and watch yourself become a reader.
How are elections won?
Usually 51% - 49%, and you win.
At worst, if you can make a promise to never miss twice in a row, which to me has a higher adherence percentage than telling yourself you’re going to do something everyday, you’ll be at 50%, which is closer to 51%, than quitting because you discourage yourself.
Aim for adherence, to then make habits, to create the skill, to utilize in moving you toward your goal.
